What goes in
is chaos.
Every possibility at once. No order, no answer yet.

01
Most of AI is built
around more.
More knowledge. More compute. More data. Every point in its place.
02
That makes something
more knowledgeable.
It does not make something more intelligent.
03
Intelligence isn't picked
from the possibilities.
It emerges from the behaviour of all of them: something that did not exist in the possibility space at all.
04
Certain, but still uncertain.
Nothing, but still something.
It is not, but still it is. I call it staying in the grey.
05
What comes out
is a behaviour.
So I'm teaching machines how to learn, not what to learn.

Just a curious rover;
of everything.
I've never been good at staying in one lane. I've built software, run IT, worked in compliance, started a sports league, sat in economic development, and planted three thousand willows. Somewhere along the way I noticed I kept asking the same question everywhere I went: how does anything actually come to understand what's in front of it?
That question is why I build what I build. Honestly, the willows have taught me as much about it as the machines. Good things grow slowly, and they don't care how sure you sound.
I live on Cape Breton Island, far from where most of the conversation about AI happens. That distance is deliberate. You see the shape of things better from the edge.
